Our Restoration Story

The restoration story of Aynur Hanım Konağı is actually a love story. The love and respect of Aynur Zorkirişçi and her children for this historic building has been the greatest source of motivation in bringing the mansion to its current state.

In 2018, when we first saw this 150-year-old stone mansion in ruins, we felt both excitement and concern. Bringing the building to modern comfort standards while preserving its original architecture was truly a challenging process.

During the restoration work, we discovered that every stone and every wooden detail of the mansion had a story. The stonework, wood carvings, and original architectural details shaped by master hands centuries ago were preserved with great care.

The most challenging part was integrating modern comfort requirements without damaging the historic texture. Electrical, water, and heating systems were planned and implemented in a way that would not disturb the building's original character.

Today, when our guests stay at our mansion, they both experience the historic atmosphere and enjoy modern comfort. This balance became our greatest success in the restoration process.
